Internships

Since our program was established in January 2003, SCG has provided an exceptional learning experience to more than 200 collegians, representing approximately 50 schools. These include local colleges as well as institutions outside New Jersey.

Listed below are any internship positions currently available.

Business Development Intern

In this role you will learn how to effectively develop a comprehensive plan for developing new business opportunities for our agency. This will include creating a list of qualified prospects, create ongoing messaging and strategic follow-up to uncover new business opportunities.  

Overall, we will provide a mutually beneficial relationship through this internship program and help you figure out which area of Marketing / Advertising / PR / Communications / Creative Strategy YOU want to be involved in.

Description of role, tasks and what you will learn:

Creative Marketing Strategy – Digital & Social Media Training

          • Complete Google Ads training and become Google Ads Certified

          • Generating content for social channels to promote our agency and our internship program (You!)

          • Create and implement Social Media Schedules

          • Analyze engagement and use those insights to plan our next actions

          • Learn to utilize LinkedIn and other social media platforms for prospecting and social selling (e.g. Linkedin,   SharpSpring, etc…)

CRM & Email Marketing

          • Upload and manage contacts in our database

          • Input and track activity with potential clients

          • Use marketing materials to strategically follow-up with qualified prospects

          • Create marketing emails for prospecting by using custom templates

          • Create and monitor email automation

          • Monitor and analyze e-blast reports

Business Development & Sales Training

          • Draft custom emails and letters to prospects

          • Create mail and email campaigns for business prospects

          • Learn the RFP (Request for Proposal) process

          • Learn to use LinkedIn and other social media platforms to reach out to prospects

          • Learn techniques for face to face | business to business prospecting

          • Learn to research and warm up prospects before initial contact

          • Utilize existing marketing materials to reach out to potential prospects
