CHALLENGE
ALDI is a leading global discount supermarket chain. When they needed help staffing for their U.S. locations they turned to Success Communications Group. Our longstanding relationship as well as our understanding of the ideal candidate ALDI led us to create a complete mobile strategy utilizing online banner ads. The mobile ads are used to target candidates by geography and other relevant demographic information. The ads are designed to alert them to job opportunities, job fair career events and how to apply.
SOLUTION
The first step is to create unique mobile enabled landing pages for each Hiring Event for all the individual markets Aldi is recruiting. The page consists of information about the ALDI organization, details regarding the positions available as well as the store locations, career fair locations and date and time of event. Candidates who need more information are directed to the corporate website. They can also tap a single button to map the Hiring Event or add it to their calendar, and in some cases submit their resume right from the landing page. We then create mobile display and Facebook ads precisely geo-targeted to the relevant radius around a particular store or group of stores. Using A-B testing and advanced analytics, we optimize each advertisement for each market on a daily basis to ensure that our client is getting maximum value for their investment.
RESULTS
- On average, each event sees upwards of 3,000 clicks.
- Hiring Event ads on Facebook see an average of 160 likes and nearly 200 shares, creating organic reach well beyond what is paid for.
- The landing pages have been delivered to more than 575,000 users.
- Foot traffic at Hiring Events has increased dramatically.
