SCG Advertising + Public Relations is seeking an experienced media professional who is equally passionate about strategy, execution, and delivering measurable results. This is an opportunity to join a growing, collaborative marketing team where you’ll play a key role in shaping integrated media strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients across government, healthcare, higher education, nonprofit, and commercial sectors. As a Senior Media Buyer – Strategist, you will serve as one of the agency’s senior media professionals, partnering closely with the Vice President of Marketing to develop innovative, performance-driven media campaigns across traditional and digital channels. This is more than a media buying role. You’ll help shape campaign strategy, provide strategic recommendations to clients, mentor junior team members, identify new opportunities, and remain actively involved in the day-to-day planning, buying, optimization, and reporting that drive measurable results. - Serve as a strategic advisor to internal teams and clients, providing thoughtful recommendations backed by performance data and industry insights.
- Manage campaign budgets, pacing, forecasting, and reconciliation while maximizing return on investment.
- Analyze campaign performance and deliver clear, actionable reporting with optimization recommendations.
- Conduct audience research, competitive analysis, and media landscape evaluations to uncover new opportunities.
- Develop testing strategies across creative, messaging, placements, audiences, and bidding approaches to continuously improve campaign performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media vendors, publishers, and platform representatives while identifying added value opportunities for clients.
- Collaborate closely with creative and analytics teams to ensure media and messaging work together to achieve campaign goals.
- Support agency growth through participation in new business pitches, RFP responses, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing best practices, providing guidance, and helping elevate the overall capabilities of the media department.

Qualifications
- 6+ years of progressive experience in media planning, buying, and strategy, preferably within an advertising agency environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing integrated campaigns across both traditional and digital media channels.
- Hands-on experience with platforms including Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, TikTok, Programmatic DSPs, Streaming Audio and Video, Paid Search, and direct publisher buys.
- Strong understanding of traditional media including television, radio, print, and out of home planning and buying.
- Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience interpreting campaign performance and translating data into actionable recommendations.
- Experience managing significant media budgets while maintaining accurate pacing and financial oversight.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with confidence presenting recommendations directly to clients and internal leadership.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, proactive, and solutions focused.

Position Overview: As a Local Media Traditional Buyer, you will play a critical role in developing and executing media buying strategies for our clients within TV, Radio, OOH, and Print. You will work closely with our media team to ensure optimal placement and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute local media buying strategies in alignment with client goals.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with local TV and Radio stations and networks.
- Source and negotiate with print vendors to obtain competitive pricing and quality services.
- Develop and execute OOH media buying strategies that drive brand awareness and engagement.
- Analyze viewership data and Industry trends to inform buying decisions.
- Monitor and optimize campaign performance to ensure maximum ROI.

Qualifications:
