CHALLENGE
Large So-Cal Hospital with numerous hard to fill positions available for experienced RNs in
specialties such as:
- Case Management
- Critical Care / ICU
- PeriOp
- Rehab
- Telemetry
- Transfer Center
Facility had tried a variety of solutions, including virtual job fairs, job postings, etc., to no avail.
SOLUTION
SCG proposed an in person hiring event, the first we’ve done since Covid-19 came on the scene. Event proposed was midweek, on-site, with a three hour window for applicants to drop by. Registration was requested, but not required. Advertising components included the following:
- Event Registration / Splash Page
- 2x Email Drip Campaign targeting RNs with a minimum of one year of experience in their area of specialization, within a 40 mile radius of the clients’ facility,
- 1x Text Blast
- Banner campaign on Working Nurse / Indeed
RESULTS
• 70 RNs entered their information on the Splash Page:
- 48 RNs indicated that they would attend the event
- 22 RNs indicated that they were unable to attend event, but were interested in hearing from a recruiter
- 26 RNs actually attended the event.
- 13 RNs were hired on the spot
- Additional offers extended, but not yet confirmed
- Roughly 60% of the responding RNs had more than 5 years of experience.
- The remaining 40% of RN was evenly split between those with 1-2 years of experience and those with 2-4 years of experience
- Approximate cost for event: $10-12k
