NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES

CHALLENGE

The New Jersey Department of Children and Families (DCF) approached SCG for assistance with advertising a career fair they were planning to host in New Brunswick for critical need positions at DCF Regional Schools. Positions included Social Workers, Teachers and part-time Bus Drivers. The media research, strategy and implementation had to be completed quickly as there was limited lead time to the event.

SOLUTION

As there were a variety of openings, SCG developed a plan designed to reach as many potential candidates as possible through a variety of media that included sponsored jobs on Indeed, social media advertising and print ads in Latino publications as well as a Google Ad campaign, text blasts, e-mail marketing and streaming radio spots. We also consulted with the DCF on how to optimize posts on their Meta/Instagram pages as an additional way of marketing the event.

“I wanted to acknowledge you and express my sincere gratitude for all your assistance in making the 1st DCF Career Fair a success! This event had an excellent turn out from the public, and we estimate over 500 participants were in attendance. This event was so successful that we had to shut the doors at the end time to manage the high-volume of attendees.

Your guidance, expertise, and support in advertising for this event was key in making it a successful, memorable event for DCF.  We received feedback from many DCF office managers who attended that it was an excellent event, with many qualified candidates they can consider immediately for their positions.“
