Targeting diverse pool of qualified RNS Result in 50% attend-to-hire conversion rate

Challenge

A Large So-Cal Hospital with numerous hard-to-fill positions available for experienced RNs in specialties such as:

  • Case Management
  • Critical Care / ICU
  • PeriOp
  • Rehab
  • Telemetry
  • Transfer Center Facility had tried a variety of solutions, including virtual job fairs, job postings, etc., to no avail.
  • Solution

    SCG proposed an in-person hiring event, the first we’ve done since COVID-19 came on the scene. The event proposed was midweek, on-site, with a three-hour window for applicants to drop by. Registration was requested, but not required. Advertising components included the following:

  • Event Registration / Splash Page
  • 2x Email Drip Campaign targeting RNs with a minimum of one year of experience in their area of specialization, within a 40-mile radius of the client’s facility
  • 1x Text Blast
  • Banner campaign on Working Nurse / Indeed
  • Internal Campaign tying event to ERP
  • Results

  • 70 RNs entered their information on the Splash Page.
  • 48 RNs indicated that they would attend the event – 22 RNs indicated that they were unable to attend the event but were interested in hearing from a recruiter.
  • 26 RNs attended the event – 13 RNs were hired on the spot.
  • Additional offers were extended, but not yet confirmed.
  • Roughly 60% of the responding RNs had more than 5 years of experience. The remaining 40% of RNs were evenly split between those with 1-2 years of experience and those with 2-4 years of experience. Approximate cost for the event: $10-12K.
